Terms of service

These terms apply to the Ambex platform (platform.ambex.lv) and its products, such as Ambex Video. The service is provided by SIA "AMBEX", registration No. 40203316992, Krāslavas iela 21-23, Rīga, LV-1003, Latvia (we). By signing up you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

1. The service

The platform lets you prepare videos (transcription, editing, subtitles, sound, images, titles, thumbnails), download them and publish them to social networks you connect. What a plan includes (number of videos a month, workspaces, team members, features) is shown in the plan description when you choose it.

Some features use artificial intelligence. Its results (transcripts, subtitles, titles, descriptions) may contain mistakes: check them before publishing.

2. Account

  • One account belongs to one customer (a person or a company). The person who signs up is its owner and may invite team members to its workspaces.
  • You log in with a code sent to your email. Keep access to your email safe and do not share codes.
  • The details you give must be true. You are responsible for what is done in your account, including by the team members you invite.

3. Prices, payment and trial

  • Prices are in euros and include VAT. Plans are paid monthly or yearly in advance by card through Stripe; a yearly plan costs 10 monthly payments.
  • A plan may start with a free trial if offered. A card is needed to start it; it is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before. One trial per customer and per card.
  • When you move to a higher plan, a new period starts on that day, and the unused part of the current period is deducted from the price.
  • When you move to a lower plan, it starts when the current paid period ends; until then you keep the current plan, and nothing is refunded. You can only move to a lower plan if your workspaces and team fit within it.
  • If a payment fails, we may limit the account until it is paid.
  • We may change prices for future periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before; the new price applies from your next period after that.

4. Cancelling

  • You may cancel a subscription at any time in the portal. It stays active until the end of the period already paid, and is not renewed.
  • Periods already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to info@ambex.lv. We delete it with its content within 7 days (see the privacy policy).

5. Your content

  • You keep all rights to the videos, sound, images, music and texts you upload. You give us the right to store and process them only as needed to provide the service to you (for example to transcribe, render and publish them).
  • You must have the right to use everything you upload and publish, including music, images and people shown. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or is harmful or misleading.
  • When you publish to a social network, that network's terms apply too.
  • We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we cooperate with the authorities when the law requires it.

6. Use of the service

You must not misuse the service: for example, try to access other customers' data, overload or break the service, get around plan limits, or use it to send spam.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and safe, but cannot promise it is never interrupted (for example during maintenance or when a social network or other provider fails). We may improve and change features. If we remove something essential from a paid plan, you may cancel and get back the unused part of the period.

8. Liability

We are responsible for providing the service with due care. We are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profit or reach), for the decisions of social networks about your posts, or for losses caused by your content or your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Ending the agreement

The agreement lasts until your account is deleted. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break these terms; for a reason not caused by you, we refund the unused part of the paid period.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we publish the new version here with its date, and tell you by email about important changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. We first try to settle any dispute by talking to each other; otherwise it is decided by the courts of Latvia. A consumer may also turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (www.ptac.gov.lv).
